The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
