Automobiles in Germany's Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Officers reported they were notified by a man who found a automobile in Hanau smeared with reddish liquid

Roughly fifty vehicles have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Cars, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they stated in a release.

Law enforcement state they were contacted during the night on Wednesday, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored fluid.

The substance had been applied in the form of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Officers then found numerous other smeared automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Officials state initial examinations suggest the fluid was most likely human blood.

"There is still no lead as to its origin; investigators are presently not informed of any harm in relation with the event," they stated.

City officials said they were working "to resolve the incident" and have asked to the public for details.

A high-ranking political figure stated the attack rendered him without words and needed to be solved promptly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the pain of the right-wing violent incident five years ago," he posted on a platform, recalling the murder of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at people of foreign heritage in 2020.
